Learning About Personal Financial Literacy Beyond the Classroom

Kimberly High School had three teams reach the Final 4 in championship and consolation brackets in the Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl (FICB). Unfortunately, the competition was fierce and they lost in close contests. FICB is a financial literacy program for high school students, teaching a wide range of financial literacy topics that align with Wisconsin’s Model Academic Standards for Personal Finance as well as the Jumpstart National Standards. The FICB culminates in a live, college-bowl tournament where teams compete to determine regional champions.
Great job to the following Papermakers for competing in the Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl: Joey Authement, Braden Barglind, Natalie Brandt, Katie Ebben, Chris Gear, Michael Laswell, Logan Martilla, Alexis Merten, Troy Moore, Chanler Niemi, Joe Radtke, Jack Sabota, Adam Stage, Ryan Tessner and Nan Wu.
