Students participating in Youth Apprenticeships (YA), earning certifications and pursuing advanced coursework were recognized recently by Governor Walker and local media. Since 2014, KHS students participating in Youth Apprenticeships has grown from one student to 30 students so far this school year. Staff was also recognized for their efforts to increase these opportunities for students. As the Governor toured several KHS classrooms, students spoke about their Youth Apprentice experiences and how they will graduate better prepared for their future. The Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce along with several business partners who host Youth Apprentices were also recognized for their efforts.
