KHS Rube Goldberg Brings Home 1st at Nationals!

The Kimberly Kitchen team with their first place trophy, the Teamwork Award, the Creative Spark Award and the Spirit of Rube Award.

1st Place at Nationals for the The Kimberly Kitchen Rube Goldberg Team! They had a winning recipe – in addition to 1st place, they also earned the Teamwork Award, the Creative Spark Award and the Spirit of Rube Award. So much Papermaker Pride for all involved! Read more about Nationals here.

Both Kimberly High School Rube Goldberg Machine teams earned awards at STEM Forward’s Wisconsin Regional Rube Goldberg Machine Contest. The Kimberly Kitchen team was awarded first place and advances to compete at Nationals. They also received the Safety Award. The Barbershop team earned third place and the Most Creative Use of Materials Award. Each machine performs this year’s task of applying a Band-Aid through a complex series of at least 20-steps (their machines are 40+ steps beyond the minimum!). Congratulations to these students for pursuing their potential in academics and co-curriculars. Congratulations to these Papermakers! Read more about the Regional competition here.
