National History Day Team from JRG Advances to Compete in Washington D.C.

Sofie L., Elizabeth R., Vienna M., and Rebecca S. advanced to compete at Nationals in Washington D.C.

J.R. Gerritts Middle School (JRG) students had a great showing in recent National History Day competitions. One team advanced to compete at Nationals. Sofie L., Vienna M., Rebecca S. and Elizabeth R. will bring their project about Nellie Bly to the competition in Washington D.C. this June. Their classmate Sydney M. is a first runner-up for Nationals with her exhibit about Martin Luther.

The road to nationals began earlier this spring. Five teams from JRG advanced to the regional competition held in March at UW-Green Bay. Of those projects, four teams advanced to compete at State. The nine students on these teams make up the largest group of National History Day participants JRG has had advance to the State level. Congratulations to all National History Day participants for pursuing your potential!
