The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time School Psychologist to work at both within J.R. Gerritts Middle and Janssen Elementary School buildings.  The selected candidate will have experience in case managing, assessment, working with student concerns, and knowledge of Response to Intervention practices.  The ability to work within a team setting and be a contributing member of the problem solving teams is essential.  The right candidate must hold or be able to obtain Wisconsin licensure for School Psychologist.  This position will begin in August.

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Guidance Counselor to work at Kimberly High School.  The right candidate will help students develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for them to become healthy, productive adults.  We are looking for counselor who is student-focused, very knowledgeable in career and technical education, and a strong collaborator.  You will be part of a four counselor department serving about 1500 students. With a comprehensive developmental counseling program, counselors work as a team with school, parents, and community to create a caring atmosphere whereby children’s needs are met through prevention, early identification, and intervention. This position will begin August 25, 2015.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Learning Services Secretary to work at the District Office Building. The right candidate will provide a full range of secretarial support to the Learning Services Department Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent, and the Learning Services Department.  Candidates must be customer-focused, extremely organized, flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage their own learning to improve job performance.  The candidate should minimally hold a 2 or 4 year college degree.  A large part of the job involves complex problem-solving.  Interested candidates should have experience efficiently and effectively solving difficult problems by exploring multiple solutions and independently enacting appropriate procedures to resolve issues. The selected candidate will work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.  Candidates may choose an hour or half hour lunch, but must be available to work until 4 pm daily. This is a year-round position.  Hours may flex during the week when occasional evening or weekend work is required (no more than 5 times per year). The pay is $14.22 per hour.  This position will begin as soon as possible.

PARAPROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time, Special Education One to One Paraprofessional to work at Westside Elementary School. The right candidate will work one to one with a student with behavioral disabilities in supporting educational programming under the direction of one of the special education teachers, as well as assisting providing educational assistance.  The hours for this position are from 8:15am to 3:45am, Monday through Friday, for a total of 7 hours per day and 35 hours per week.   The pay is $12.86 per hour.  This position will begin as soon as possible.

The Kimberly Area School District is looking for Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals to work throughout the Kimberly Area School District.  The right candidates will be added to the daily substitute list and be available to fill in when needed.  The selected candidate will assist students with learning, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities in supporting education programming under the direction of special education teachers, as well as assisting the physical tasks such as putting on and taking off outerwear, moving from room to room, and using the lavatory.  The pay for these position is $9.00 per hour.

The District is looking to fill many positions on a daily basis. Qualified applicants will have their teaching license or a four year bachelor's degree. The District will sponsor selected candidates with a four year degree in attaining their substitute teaching license. The pay for this position is $100 per day.

Food Service - Substitute Workers

Chartwells, an independent contractor for Kimberly School District, provides school lunches for all students at KASD.  We currently have openings for substitute workers.  Shifts range for 2-5 hours per day.  You can work while our children are at school and be off when they are!  Food Service workers are laid off every summer and called back in the fall.  Responsibilities can include light cooking, serving lunch, cashiering, bookkeeping, and clean up.  Benefits are also offered.  If you enjoy working with children and need a flexible schedule, give us a call at 423-4159.  Applications may be picked up in the main office at Kimberly High School.  Just ask for a food service application.
