ADMINISTRATOR POSITIONS

Director of Human Resources

The Kimberly Area School District is seeking a full-time Director of Human Resources that is passionate about maximizing staff's potential in support of student learning by hiring, developing and retaining the best employees.

A staff of about 500 dedicated professionals carry out the District's mission of ensuring every student is given the opportunity to reach their potential through academics, the arts and co-curricular activities. The district encompasses an area of about 17 square miles and serves approximately 4,900 students in four elementary schools (4K-4), two intermediate schools (5-6), one middle school (7-8), one charter school (8-12) and one high school (9-12).

Job Summary:

  • Oversees the District's benefits program.
  • Responsible for the smooth operation of the human resources department.
  • Coach and supervise supervisors on hiring, performance management and proper documentation.
  • Lead effective labor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and school personnel regulations.
  • Prepare separation notices, lead termination meetings and represent the District at personnel related hearings and investigations.
  • Strategic partner with senior leadership to ensure that the HR function is supporting and driving desired organizational results.
  • Provide HR leadership to all schools ensuring consistency, standard operating procedures and legal compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of HR Management experience.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Master's degree desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, benefit administration, applicable federal, state and local labor laws required.
  • Additionally, experience in leading and developing professionals, governmental practices, safety and staff training programs preferred.

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time Network Specialist to work at the Administrative Building.  Under the general direction of the Director of Technology, helps users achieve optimum use of their computer networks by performing needs analysis, procurement support, installation, training and problem resolution for the local and wide area networks.  Responsible for configuration, operation, and administration of network server hardware, operating systems, and communication links.  Defines and implements solutions to integrate desktop and shared devices into local and wide area networks and/or other host-based networks.  Recommends appropriate computer tools to users including equipment software, documentation, and training.  This position will begin as soon as possible.

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a part-time, Special Education Paraprofessional to work at Janssen Elementary School. The right candidate will assist students with behavioral and cognitive disabilities in supporting educational programming under the direction of one of the special education teachers, as well as assisting with physical tasks such as putting on and taking off outerwear, moving from room to room, and using the lavatory.    The hours for this position are from 11:30am to 3:45pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 4.25 hours per day and 21.25 hours per week.   This position will begin August 26, 2014.

Food Service - Substitute Workers

Chartwells, an independent contractor for Kimberly School District, provides school lunches for all students at KASD.  We currently have openings for substitute workers.  Shifts range for 2-5 hours per day.  You can work while our children are at school and be off when they are!  Food Service workers are laid off every summer and called back in the fall.  Responsibilities can include light cooking, serving lunch, cashiering, bookkeeping, and clean up.  Benefits are also offered.  If you enjoy working with children and need a flexible schedule, give us a call at 423-4159.  Applications may be picked up in the main office at Kimberly High School.  Just ask for a food service application.
