Director of Information Technology and Business Intelligence

The Kimberly Area School District is seeking a Director of Information Technology and Business Intelligence that is passionate about maximizing District data, analytics and technology to support students in reaching their potential in academics, arts and athletics. 

The Director of Information Technology and Business Intelligence will provide the strategic roadmap for business intelligence, reporting, platforms, architecture and process workflow in support of the District’s mission.  The right candidate will direct planning, reviewing, implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure and operations assuring successful integration of administrative and instructional applications of the district.   


  • Set the strategic direction for business intelligence technologies and IT architecture
  • Identify, define and deliver innovative technical solutions to maximize student learning.
  • Oversee the development of data definitions, data management, data analytics, data warehouse design and development
  • Manage all aspects of the software development life cycle: project management, requirements, design, development, testing and deployment
  • Collaborate with internal departments in the planning and providing of appropriate technology related training resources
  • Drive efficiency and predictability through the use of standard processes and measurements
  • Ensure that the design and integration aligns to the district’s vision
  • Manage and negotiate ongoing vendor services
  • Monitor needs and efficiency of the Help Desk


  • Strong sense of personal and professional ethics
  • Experience in developing IT strategy, architecture, business functionality, data integration and process workflow
  • Experience in building Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing solutions
  • Experience in directing and evaluating activities in the areas of telecommunications, enterprise network systems/storage, virtualization, centralized, cloud and distributed server technologies to ensure security and global connectivity
  • Strong aptitude to utilize instructional technology to support learning, productivity, and communication
  • Excellent organization and accuracy

The District is looking to fill many positions on a daily basis. Qualified applicants will have their teaching license or a four year bachelor's degree. The District will sponsor selected candidates with a four year degree in attaining their substitute teaching license. The pay for this position is $100 per day.

T Kimberly Area School District is looking for Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals to work throughout the Kimberly Area School District.  The right candidates will be added to the daily substitute list and be available to fill in when needed.  The selected candidate will assist students with learning, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities in supporting education programming under the direction of special education teachers, as well as assisting the physical tasks such as putting on and taking off outerwear, moving from room to room, and using the lavatory.  The pay for these position is $9.00 per hour.

Heart of the Valley YMCA

Heart of the Valley YMCA, an independent contractor for the Kimberly Area School District, provides before and after school child care at our Elementary Schools.  The YMCA is currently looking for applicants to work either before or after school hours, 2-5 days per week.  Free child care in the program is available for selected candidates whose own children are 5-12 years old.  Free YMCA membership programs for employees.  Applications are available online at www.ymcafoxcities.org

 Food Service - Substitute Workers

Chartwells, an independent contractor for Kimberly School District, provides school lunches for all students at KASD.  We currently have openings for substitute workers.  Shifts range for 2-5 hours per day.  You can work while our children are at school and be off when they are!  Food Service workers are laid off every summer and called back in the fall.  Responsibilities can include light cooking, serving lunch, cashiering, bookkeeping, and clean up.  Benefits are also offered.  If you enjoy working with children and need a flexible schedule, give us a call at 423-4159.  Applications may be picked up in the main office at Kimberly High School.  Just ask for a food service application.
