The Kimberly Area School District is seeking a talented elementary principal with vision, experience, and the knowledge and skills to focus school efforts and resources on improving student learning at Westside Elementary School beginning with the 2015-16 school year.  This school leader will work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to continue developing this professional learning community.

  • To maximize the potential of all students and staff members, the Westside principal needs to be an instructional leader and continual learner with the following strengths:
  • Ability to facilitate development of a successful learning community
  • Strong knowledge base of instructional strategies to support and coach teachers in balanced literacy, including writing, and problem-solving math

The new Westside principal will join a strong team of elementary administrators.  Our elementary principals lead and learn together with the goal of improving teaching and learning at their respective schools and throughout the district.  They share ideas and expertise, solve problems as a team, train together, divide work tasks and responsibilities, and support and coach each other.  We are seeking a leader who can learn from and contribute to this productive team.

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a full-time School Counselor to work at Janssen Elementary School.  The right candidate will help students develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for them to become healthy, productive adults.  We are looking for a counselor who is student-focused and a strong collaborator.  With a comprehensive developmental counseling program, counselors work as a team with school, parents, and community to create a caring atmosphere whereby children’s needs are met through prevention, early identification, and intervention. This position will also involve being a PBIS Internal Coach and will begin August 19, 2015.

The progressive Kimberly Area School District has a rewarding opportunity for a Summer School Physical Education Teacher to work at Kimberly High School.  This class will consist of weight training, core strength, flexibility and several life time activities.  This position will begin on June 8, 2015 through July 10, 2015.  There will be no classes held the week of June 29, 2015.  The hours for this position are from 9:30am to 12:00pm and the pay is $23.10 per hour.

The Kimberly Area School District is looking for Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals to work throughout the Kimberly Area School District.  The right candidates will be added to the daily substitute list and be available to fill in when needed.  The selected candidate will assist students with learning, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities in supporting education programming under the direction of special education teachers, as well as assisting the physical tasks such as putting on and taking off outerwear, moving from room to room, and using the lavatory.  The pay for these position is $9.00 per hour.

The District is looking to fill many positions on a daily basis. Qualified applicants will have their teaching license or a four year bachelor's degree. The District will sponsor selected candidates with a four year degree in attaining their substitute teaching license. The pay for this position is $100 per day.

Food Service - Substitute Workers

Chartwells, an independent contractor for Kimberly School District, provides school lunches for all students at KASD.  We currently have openings for substitute workers.  Shifts range for 2-5 hours per day.  You can work while our children are at school and be off when they are!  Food Service workers are laid off every summer and called back in the fall.  Responsibilities can include light cooking, serving lunch, cashiering, bookkeeping, and clean up.  Benefits are also offered.  If you enjoy working with children and need a flexible schedule, give us a call at 423-4159.  Applications may be picked up in the main office at Kimberly High School.  Just ask for a food service application.
