Students at JRG have the opportunity to experience mini-courses in February. Mini-courses are an opportunity to learn lifelong skills that students would not be able to learn in the regular curriculum. For example, a soaps and candles making class combines science with hands-on learning. In a snowshoeing course, students learn about the natural world while being physically active. This year, a CSI investigation course allowed students learn about law enforcement techniques and the science behind them.
Next school year, we will have some new options for students to choose from that will help them connect their learning with future work possibilities.
