Mapleview Intermediate School's Student Council held a food drive competition known as "Honk for Turkey Legs." Students collected 802 food items for St. Joseph’s Food Pantry! For an additional incentive, the students were given clues about teachers in the school over the week. They tried to determine which clues were about which teacher and donated the food in that person’s name. This year’s “winner” was Mrs. Hanes who had 450 items donated in her name. Her reward? The opportunity to dress up as a turkey and strut up and down Kimberly Avenue while the students and other passersby cheered and honked in approval! So proud of the Mapleview community for your Kindness to help others. Check out a video of the "Honk for Turkey Legs" celebration.
