Kimberly Students + Math Problem Contest = Success!

Brayden Mau, Mason Freund, Kendall Sullivan and Sophia Schumerth earned a Middle School Team Gold Medal.

Students from J.R. Gerritts Middle School (JRG) and Kimberly High School participated in the first ever Mathematical Problem Solving Contest at UW-Oshkosh. JRG had two teams bring home awards and was named the Top Performing Middle School. Mason Freund, Brayden Mau, Sophia Schumerth and Kendall Sullivan brought home a team Gold Medal.

A silver medal was earned by the team comprised of Nathan Barlow, Jacob Farrell, Nicholas Logan and Cooper Polczinski. Two KHS students brought home individual silver medals for their grade: Octavio Leon - Grade 9 and Mason Lawrenz - Grade 10.

Congratulations to the participating students who are pursuing their potential in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
