Three local students, including third grader Portia Hah from Woodland Elementary School, were recognized for their winning essays in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year's essay question was, "What can I do personally and how can we work together to build a world where all feel included?"
Portia's essay shared ways she makes others feel included. It was a great message about our Community Value of Kindness.
You can read more about this program and the full essays from the winners in this Post-Crescent article.
