Students Learn About the Vietnam War From Local Veterans

Local veteran Larry Cavanaugh describing artifacts in the "Reflections of Vietnam" display to KHS students.

Students at Kimberly High School experienced a history lesson like no other when veterans from the Vietnam War visited their school on April 13, 2017. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 351 - Appleton brought their “Reflections of Vietnam” educational outreach program to the school.

The veteran’s program has two parts: a large display of artifacts and a speaking program. Being able to learn about history from the people who lived through it was a memorable opportunity for students. Read more about the experience here. Also, check out the story WBAY did on the display.
