Sixth Graders at Mapleview Enjoyed Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya

Students building a shelter at Camp.

Sixth graders at Mapleview Intermediate School had the opportunity to attend Camp this week! Each sixth grade class experienced a day full of camp activities – canoeing, climbing a wall, and shelter building – just to name a few!

Teacher Eric Hoffman shared this about the students’ experiences at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya, “Students not only enjoy going to camp every year, but they also learn many valuable skills that aren't regularly taught in the classroom. By the end of camp, they gain more confidence in tasks that they perceive to be challenging, they learn how to effectively communicate within groups, and they become independent problem solvers by doing the breakout sessions the camp provides.”

Great job to the entire Mapleview school community for providing this additional opportunity for students to reach their potential!
