District Receives State’s Top School Communications Award

District Receives State’s Top School Communications Award

Nicole Noonan and Stacey Laundrie received awards for communication projects at the WSPRA conference.

Our District earned the Lighthouse Award, the highest award presented annually by the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA), for our “Papermaker News” community newsletter. KASD also earned an Award of Excellence for our communications recognizing the Rube Goldberg Machine Team’s National Championship. Stacey Laundrie, teacher, and Kris Van Handel, paraprofessional, won an Award of Merit for their “4K Classroom Website.”

Photos from eighth graders Evan Bosch and Owen Ley, both JRG students in Brad Hoerth’s photography class, were selected as the background on all WSPRA award certificates that were presented, making the awards extra special. The communication awards our District received belong to the many people involved in helping to share our story with the community.
