High School Announcements 

Announcements for Monday, January 15th, 2018            

 

SPECIAL OBSERVANCE: Dr. Martin Luther King Day

 

BIRTHDAYS: Taylor Ann Hietpas, Craig Henn, Calvin Wilson

 

GENERAL:  Friday, January 19th is a half day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 and bus pick-up is at 11:36.

 

KHS Winter dance "SPREE" will take place Saturday February 17th from 8:00pm-Midnight in the KHS commons.  Tickets cost $10 and will be on sale the week prior during your lunches.   Watch for more details on SPREE week activities!

 

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES:  Congratulations all DECA competitors who competed at the District Conference last Saturday at Bay Port High School!  You represented Kimberly DECA well!  Please pick up your event scores in Mrs. Kalnins room during ELT on Wednesday.  The Wisconsin DECA State List is also posted! 

 

Are you interested in cars? The newest designs? The latest technology?  Concept cars and trucks?  Then join the KHS Car Club on their bus trip to the Chicago Auto Show, February 15th.  All students are welcome. You can obtain information and forms at the LMC circulation desk.  Or, see Mr. Girod in the LMC on Wednesday.

COLLEGE REP & RECRUITER VISITS:  The following reps or recruiters will meet in the student services office.  Tuesday, January 16th—US Air Force at 11:00.  Dates and times subject to change, stop in the student services office for additional information.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS: 

 

STUDENT SERVICES:  African Heritage, Inc. seek to provide a support system for Africans and African Americans, and its members through the generation of goodwill and the promotion of cross cultural understanding, and education. They are holding a workshop on February 14th at 8:15-2:45 for 9th and 10th grade students and February 15th at 8:15-2:45 for 11th and 12th grade students.  It will be held at the Liberty Hall Banquet Center. Please stop into Student Services if  you would like more information.
