These college-level courses cover the breadth of information, skills, and assignments found in the corresponding college course. They provide an idea of what college is like, help students stand out on college applications, and may help them earn college credit, placement out of an introductory course, or both.

Students who enroll in an AP course can take the corresponding examination administered every May. Exams cost approximately $105 per exam. Registration and payment information for exams can be found below. The tests consist of multiple-choice questions and a free-response section that requires essay writing. KHS encourages students to take Advanced Placement courses in their areas of strength/interest. Tests are scored on a 1-5 scale, and a score of 3 or above may make the student eligible for college credit depending on the individual college or university policy.
