PBIS at Westside

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an approach to teaching and supporting positive behaviors and meeting the needs of ALL students. This district-wide approach to discipline focuses on building a safe and positive environment in which all students can learn.

The foundation of PBIS at Westside is the four district-wide expectations:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Honest
  • Be Kind

View a brochure explaining PBIS at our school.

In addition to our behavior expectations, we have four PBIS components at our school:

  • Behavior matrix with behavior expectations in each school setting (view our "Way to Be" matrix here)
  • Direct teaching of expectations
  • PBIS Eagle slips
  • Behavior tracking sheets to record and address inappropriate behaviors

Together, we can achieve more.
