Principal's Message
Welcome to Woodland Elementary School!
Thank you for visiting the Woodland Elementary School website and for taking time to learn more about our school and learning community. As principal of Woodland, I’m proud to lead and support a school with such a strong tradition of academic excellence, dedicated staff, and outstanding family and community support.
Woodland Elementary serves students in 4K through 4th grade as well as students in the district’s early childhood program. Our instruction is led by a strong focus on literacy and math, supported by a foundation in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) that helps us build a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. We call it The Woodland Way and it’s how we celebrate positive behavior and build community across our school.
Our teachers and staff are committed to meeting the needs of each child and are continually engaged in professional learning to refine their practice and improve student outcomes. We believe all students can grow and thrive and we work collaboratively to make that a reality.
We value the role families play in supporting student success and believe that when schools and families partner together, great things happen for kids. One of the many ways families can get involved is through our active and supportive Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), which plays an important role in enriching the school experience for students and staff. Whether you're interested in volunteering, attending events, or simply staying connected, we welcome you to be a part of the PTO.
I invite you to explore our website, learn more about our school, and reach out with any questions you may have. We’re proud of what’s happening here at Woodland and look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dave Lamers
Principal, Woodland Elementary School
