Kimberly Students + Mathematical Problem Solving Contest = Success

Kimberly students, including Joseph Roche and Allison Weiher, brought home a multitude of awards at the UW-Oshkosh Mathematical Problem Solving Contest.

At the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Mathematical Problem Solving Contest, Kimberly students brought home a multitude of awards. Among the 1,078 competitors from 54 schools, they earned five of the top awards. Joseph Roche, a sophomore at Kimberly High School, earned both the Highest Overall Score and an Individual Gold Medal for his grade. Allison Weiher, a seventh grader at J.R. Gerritts Middle School, brought home the Individual Gold Medal Award for her grade.
Both JRG Middle School and Kimberly High School were named the Top Performing Schools at their levels. Plus, a team from each school brought home awards. A middle school team brought home a Gold Medal and the high school freshmen team earned a Bronze Medal. Several students also placed in the top 10% of scores for their grade.
