Ms. Megan Berger and Mr. Martin O’Donnell, both teachers from J.R. Gerritts Middle School, recently earned their National Board Certification. Like board certification in medicine or accounting, National Board Certification is teaching’s highest professional credential and is awarded by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. They join Jessica Evers, Aimee Froze, Tracie Halfmann, Jason Jansen, Kelly Jansen, Jodi King, Jen Loomis, Amy Reed, Kristin Smits, Stacy Shrode and Phil Yunk in completing the National Board for Teaching Standards. Our District now has 13 National Board Certified teachers on staff - a great example of professional development with the goal to better help students prepare for their future.
