On Friday, Dave – a well-known crossing guard– was sent off to retirement with a special surprise celebration from Westside Elementary School students. All fourth and first graders delivered cards they had made him. Then they sang him a song that several of the first grade teachers wrote. (Watch a video with the song here.)
