Kimberly High School (KHS) proudly celebrated the completion of its construction and welding expansion project, marking a major milestone for the school and its Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. To recognize the completion of the project, an open house was held in October welcoming students, staff, families and community members to tour the new facility and celebrate the hard work and commitment of KHS students.
Throughout the project, KHS building and construction students gained hands-on experience in every phase, from drywall and electrical work to painting, cabinetry, and trim installation. Additionally, students collaborated with local businesses, working alongside industry professionals who offered guidance and insights into real-world practices. This partnership enriched the students' learning experience, strengthened community ties, and offered valuable networking opportunities for future careers.
The Kimberly Area School District (KASD) approved this expansion in response to rising enrollment in construction and welding courses. These programs have seen significant growth, from 544 students in the 2014-2015 school year to 1,551 students in 2024-2025. Now fully complete, this new space stands as a testament to the students’ hard work, skills, and dedication, as well as a valuable addition to the school’s facilities and program growth.
