The course was packed, the energy was high, and thanks to our incredible supporters, the 23rd Annual FORE! Our Kids Golf Outing was a huge success.
Despite a forecast predicting scorching heat and stormy skies, the weather held out beautifully, giving our participants a fantastic day on the course. This year’s event raised over $26,000! This incredible achievement was made possible by 144 golfers, 75 generous donors and sponsors, powering the event, and 20 dedicated volunteers who kept everything running smoothly throughout the day.
The funds will be distributed to groups and activities within the Kimberly Area School District and the community to promote drug- and alcohol-free activities for our students.
Adding to the excitement this year was a special showcase on the first hole, where a group of our talented middle school students stole the spotlight. They spent the day demonstrating their impressive, student-made robot aptly named “ROBO-Tee,” the bot that does the bending. This clever invention was designed to automatically place a golf ball onto the tee. It gave the golfers a firsthand look at the work happening in our schools and provided an opportunity for these students to proudly display their skills.
