SkillsUSA Team Gearing Up for Competitions

SkillsUSA Team Gearing Up for Competitions

There are 14 Kimberly High School students participating in SkillsUSA this year. Two students in machining, seven in welding related contests, one student in residential wiring, and four students in construction.

The students competed at FVTC on February 17th. Students learned a lot from the experience. Two students received medals in their contests: Paul Vanden Boogaard placed 2nd in machining and Andrew Tremel placed 3rd in residential wiring.

The construction team (team of 4) will be competing in the Team Works two-day construction contest next week (March 30-31). You can watch a video of the Team Works construction contest from years past here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOZ4LztkBPI

In addition, all SkillsUSA students will be competing at the State contest April 25-26 in their selected fields. Best of luck to these Papermakers as they pursue their potential in Career and Technical Education (CTE)!
