Katie Wells

Hi Janssen Families!  My name is Katie Wells and I am so happy to be a part of Bulldog Nation as the school counselor at Janssen Elementary. I am so excited to get to know the students of Janssen this year.  I started my career as a school counselor in 2015 and joined the KASD team in 2021. One of the things I love about being a school counselor is to see students grow in their social-emotional, academic learning. As well as, see them start to learn about themselves and different career possibilities for when they get older.

Background: I earned my BA in psychology and history at Marquette University. When my journey there was completed I went right to UW-Stout for my MS in school counseling. I enjoyed both of my post-secondary experiences and my adventures as a school counselor. I love to swim, read, be by or on the lake, watch movies, golf (not well) and spend time with my family.
