What do I do if my child will not be at school?
If your child is going to be absent or tardy for any reason, we ask that you please call the office at (920)739-3578 and leave a message prior to 8:35 AM. Voicemail messages can be left on our attendance line at any time. If you know that your child is going to be out ahead of time, we ask that you notify your child's teacher as well as the office. We appreciate your help in keeping us informed.
Can my child take medications at school?
Yes. There are medication forms available in the school office or on the district web-page. These forms are needed for all prescription and over-the-counter medications (i.e. cough drops, pain relievers, etc.). Prescription medication forms require a doctors signature as well.
How do I know if school is closed?
If weather conditions dictate that there will be no school, a decision to keep the schools closed is usually made by 6:30 a.m. Parents with students in school receive a direct call, text and/or email from our auto-call system since that is the fastest way to communicate with thousands of parents at one time. Announcements will be made on the local radio stations: WAPL-105.7 FM, WHBY-1150 AM, WKFX-104.9 FM, WEMI 91.9 FM, WGEE-1360 AM, WOZZ-93.5 FM; and the local TV stations: WBAY-TV2, WFRV-TV5, WGBA-TV26, and WLUK-FOX11.
Can my child ride the bus?
Only children that are bus eligible can ride the bus. If you are not sure if your child is bus eligible, contact Lamers Bus Lines at (920) 832-8800 or dustinbudde@golamers.com.
