KASD Significantly Exceeds Expectations on the State’s Report Card

The Kimberly Area School District received an overall accountability score and rating of “Significantly Exceeds Expectations” on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's (DPI) District Report Cards.

KASD is one of only 40 districts of the 421 public school districts in Wisconsin to receive the highest level rating. For public school districts serving students in grades 4K through 12, KASD was third in the state! This recognition is a testament to the efforts of our entire school community, and especially our students and staff.

Each school within KASD also received a report card from the State. DPI issues District and School Report Cards for every public school in Wisconsin and private schools that receive taxpayer vouchers. View the District and School Report cards.

The report cards are one measure we can use to gauge our progress, and for the most part, these are the most public measures provided by the State of Wisconsin. However, they do have limitations. For example, the data is largely based on English and Math outcomes. Both subjects are very important, but to help every student reach their potential it involves providing opportunities in all academic areas, the arts, co-curricular activities and character development. We educate the whole child and these report cards are limited in their ability to measure student success.

These Report Cards use information primarily from the previous school year. The District will use this data as part of our continuous improvement efforts to help all students reach their potential. Visit our District Performance Reports page for more information.
