Assistant Principal Rob DeLain Promoted to Principal of JR Gerritts Middle School

Rob DeLain

The Kimberly Area School District (KASD) is pleased to announce the promotion of Robert (Rob) DeLain to principal of JR Gerritts (JRG) Middle School. He is currently the Assistant Principal at JRG and will move to the principal position starting July 1, 2022.

DeLain began his educational career as a long-term substitute teacher and a high school science student teacher at KASD. From there, he began teaching in Menasha before moving into administration as the Assistant Principal of West Bend East and West High schools. In 2014 he returned to Kimberly as the JRG Assistant Principal. His extensive administrative experience includes continuous improvement, student behavior management, teacher evaluation, teacher mentoring, and he has served as the KASD Homeless liaison.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to both continue the good work that has been done at JRG, and also to approach our future improvement with a fresh perspective,” said DeLain.

DeLain will be replacing the current principal, Eric Brinkmann, who will serve as a district School Psychologist and E-learning/Technology Coordinator. The Kimberly Area School District will begin its search for the next JRG Assistant Principal in the coming weeks. More information will be available at https://www.kimberly.k12.wi.us/careers.
